TAKAFUL Brunei held a legal workshop on General Principles of Workmen’s Compensation recently, the fourth legal workshop conducted following their first in January last year.
Managing Director of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya was the guest of honour. Linda Lee from CCW Partnership was the guest speaker.
Employees of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd and its subsidiaries Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK), representatives of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), a representative of the State Judiciary Department of the Prime Minister’s Office, representatives of the Labour Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives of the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), members of the Brunei Insurance and Takaful Association (BITA) and Takaful Brunei’s Legal Panel were also present.
The talk aimed to further educate the industry and stakeholders on Workmen’s Compensation, and raise issues and find solutions to tackle the rising number of Workmen’s Compensation claims experienced by the industry in the past several years.
