Takaful Brunei hosted a blood donation drive in collaboration with Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Bank Centre at the Takaful Brunei Head Office in the capital yesterday.
The campaign was themed ‘Donate Blood, Save Lives. Every Drop Matters’.
The campaign was aimed at spreading the message that the National Blood Bank is always in need of blood as well as replenishing the supply of blood.
It is also aimed to disseminate information surround benefits to blood donation such as improved blood flow.
Due to COVID-19 measures, the donors had to book a slot prior to donations to ensure proper social distancing.
The donors were given medical check-ups before donation. The Blood Donation Centre also took extra precautions by taking temperature and checking for coughs, runny nose and other flu-like symptoms.
Takaful Brunei, with the slogan ‘Together We Protect’, organises blood donation drives regularly as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
