SYARIKAT Takaful Brunei Darussalam (STBD) along with its subsidiaries, Takaful Brunei Am (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK), recently held a Tahlil and recitation of Surah Yaasiin at the Royal Mausoleum.
Led by STBD Chairman Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, the gathering included members of the Board of Directors, as well as personnel of STBD, TBA and TBK.
Also present was Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Body, Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin followed by the Tahlil and Doa Arwah in honour of the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
According to a press release, the holy month of Ramadhan is a month when Muslims are encouraged to perform more religious activities to seek blessings from Allah the Almighty and the rewards are manifold. One of the common religious practices conducted during this month is the Tahlil ceremony.
In spirit of Ramadhan, STBD said it will also be actively involved in various religious activities such as Tedarus, Khatam Al-Quran ceremony and charity drives for the less fortunate.
