TAKAFUL Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) is conducting Islamic Financial Planning clinics throughout the four districts in Brunei Darussalam.
TBK launched its Islamic Financial Planning (IFP) campaign in May last year and has since continued to spread the values and importance of IFP through various educational materials.
IFP is a process which helps individuals set and achieve their financial goals and TBK is taking the initiative a step further by promoting the understanding of risk culture and its management in terms of health and safety.
As TBK’s initiative is to give Bruneians a better understanding of financial literacy and risk management skills, it is now setting up IFP clinics at various government offices in Brunei Darussalam.
TBK has visited 31 schools, government offices and private companies since the beginning of 2018.
The facilitation of these services comes at no cost to the government.
The IFP clinics are conducted by TBK’s certified Islamic financial planners and have successfully been conducted at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Brunei-Muara and Tutong District Offices.
In 2017, TBK’s Claims Department reported that over 700 claims were made with a payout of over BND4 million.
Accidents and illnesses are not widely publicised, but it is statistically shown to be a growing risk that Bruneians need to take heed and manage appropriately.
